Location


The Marquis of Lorne is situated in Nettlecombe, approximately 4 miles North-East of Bridport, just half a mile from Powerstock. From Bridport, turn off the A3066 Bridport - Beaminster road (about 1 1/2 miles North of Bridport) following the sign for Loders & Mangerton Mill. At the junction, bear left past Mangerton Mill, drive through West Milton and continue for a further mile, then at the T junction (signposted Powerstock left) go straight over. The Marquis of Lorne is up the hill, approximately 300 yards further on the left. Parking is in the Inn car park. The nearest railway is Maiden Newton (approximately 8 miles) or Dorchester (approximately 12 miles). There is a good taxi service from these stations. The famous Victorian Seaside Resort of Weymouth is approximately 20 miles and Lyme Regis with its Famous Cobb is approximately 15 miles.
